A company has a certain set of activities to perform once when they onboard new recruits or if they are leaving the company there can be tasks that need to be completed before resigning from the organization. Following are some examples of On/offboarding tasks.

With OrangeHRM, HR professionals can now easily add tasks relating to onboarding. This action can be performed by an admin. Before the user begins to manage the onboarding process, the user needs to set up different tasks associated with the process.
Go to On/offboarding ->Configure Tasks By following the mentioned path, the 'Task Types' screen is displayed.
Step 1 – Click on the ‘Add’ button on the top left corner of the screen. The 'Task Type Details' screen appears.
Step 2 – Complete the following fields.

If the task is incomplete, how long before the due date a reminder should be sent, It can be based on days or weeks. |

Task owners or employees added to the task receive notifications if any documents need to be sent or actions need to be taken after the due date. By simply specifying the number of days or hours in the 'Notify After' field, you can receive notifications as per your defined criteria. |

Step 3 – Click ‘Save' and repeat the process to add more tasks.
Data Import and Export Tasks
Bulk uploading of on/offboarding tasks is a powerful tool that enhances the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of managing employee transitions. Additionally, system administrators can export task types to a CSV file, providing greater control and flexibility.
Go to On/offboarding - > Configure Tasks
System administrators play a crucial role in configuring and maintaining HR processes within organizations. Our data uploading options are tailored to simplify their tasks, making the management of onboarding task types more efficient. Admins can bulk upload the on/offboarding tasks.
CSV File import for Task Types
System administrators can define multiple task types for Onboarding by simply uploading a CSV file, eliminating the need for manual data entry and streamlining the configuration process. We have a feature allowing admins to add task types in bulk to the system, enabling admins to add many task types at once, thereby saving time. By adding a CSV file with the task type details, you can seamlessly add multiple task types at once.
Step 1: Click on the icon to import tasks.
Step 2: Select the CSV file and upload it.
Step 3: You can download the Sample CSV file.
CSV File export for Task Types
In addition to importing task types, our system allows system administrators and admins to export existing task types to a CSV file, simplifying the process of reviewing, sharing, and backing up task-type information.
Step 1: Click on the icon to export tasks.
Additionally, admins can add documents to the On/offboarding tasks as attachments. By being able to include attachments in the tasks, admins can communicate important information and data with the employees. For instance, admins can attach documents such as employee handbooks, benefit enrollment forms, and company policies and procedures to tasks.
