Integrate OrangeHRM Leave Data with your Calendar
We have introduced another new feature called iCalender Feed. Within the leave module, the OrangeHRM iCal feed feature now enables the user to access leave list data directly from their calendars in Office365, Google, iOS, and other programs that allow adding a new calendar via URL.
This iCalendar feed adopts a calendar format that allows the user to share calendar data from one calendar service to another calendar service. If the user wishes to synchronize the leave data then they can simply set up the leave filters as required and then copy the iCal feed URL into their preferred calendar in order to see the employee leave days. This iCal feed feature is available in both the Leave list and My leave list screens. For example, If a manager needs to see the leave of their subordinates, they can simply define the filters as needed and add the iCal feed to their calendar.
In order to ensure the information retrieved from the iCal feed is accurate, in this release, the time zone field is now a mandatory field when adding locations under the HR Administration section. All existing locations defined will also need to be updated with the correct time zone information so to accomplish this, navigate to HR administration -> organization -> locations, Click the edit button, update the time zone details, and click save.
Leave List improvements
In this version, additional filters and some additional columns have been incorporated into the employee leave list. Now, it is possible to filter employee leave requests by the employee's job title, Employment status, subunit, employee location, job Category, and work shift. The leave list is configurable for up to 9 columns and users can now see these new field options for leave requests of employees in the system.
The leave list can be accessible by navigating to Leave > Leave List
Upon selecting the ‘Configure’ icon the following screen appears allowing the user to select the preferred columns to appear in the leave list.
