Creating an appraisal can be a challenging task, as the right questions need to be included in the appraisal form. Also, these questions should be designed in a way that they fully cover the work done by an employee over a specific period of time. Usually, this working period is considered to be either 6 months or 1 year.
Moreover, these questions should not be phrased in a very strict and demanding manner; instead, they should be casual and friendly. HR professionals and supervisors can use OrangeHRM's 'Add Questions' feature to create personalized questions that exactly match their requirements. The user can pre-define and store the questions to be subsequently used in appraisal forms.
Go to Performance -> Configurations -> Appraisal -> Questions (tab). The following screen will appear:
A pre-defined set of appraisal questions is now available in the system. These sample questions help HR teams quickly create performance appraisal forms, ensuring consistency and saving setup time.
Step 2 – Click the 'Add' button, which is located towards the top right-hand corner of the above screen.
Step 3 – Define the question.
Step 4 – Select the preferred job title(s) from the 'Job Titles' list.
Step 5 - Select the preferred evaluator group(s) from the available "Evaluator Groups'
Step 6 – Click 'SAVE' after completing steps 3, 4 & 5.
Note: Please note that deleting appraisal questions will not affect the previously created appraisals. If a specific question is deleted, it will be removed from all future appraisals in the system. If the user does not want a question to appear in future appraisals, then he/she can deselect the defined 'Evaluator Groups' instead of deleting them.
