An appraisal is a way to assess the performance of an employee over a specific period of time. Usually, a company conducts an appraisal every six months, in other words, an appraisal is conducted twice a year. Different companies conduct different types of appraisals. The following are examples of the various types of appraisals:
- 360-degree appraisal
- Management by objective
- Psychological appraisals
- Self Assessments
An appraisal should be created giving a lot of thought and attention to every detail. Otherwise, the evaluator will not be able to fully assess the employee. With OrangeHRM, evaluators can now create appraisals according to their specific requirements. As a result, evaluators can now fully assess an employee eliminating the risk of missing a single piece of information. The appraisals are created based on competency mappings. Also, Goals and Questions can be defined and added.
