Organizations often observe and track certain employee attributes or activities that may not directly impact performance ratings or appear in formal appraisals. These insights are typically used by supervisors or HR professionals to groom and develop employees for future roles. For example, a supervisor may notice a leadership quality in an employee and track it to support their growth into a managerial position.
While many systems do not support tracking such qualitative insights, OrangeHRM makes it easy. Supervisors, Regional Admins, and Heads of Departments can create employee-specific trackers and add logs to capture and retain these valuable observations for ongoing employee development.
Step 01 - To access this feature, go to Performance -> Tracker List. This will bring you to the following screen:
Step 02 - The Tracker list can be sorted by Tracker Name, Employee, Added Date, and Modified Date. Click on this icon to sort the records in ascending or descending order.
Step 03 - From the list of available trackers, click on the name of the tracker you wish to view or manage.
The system will immediately load the detailed view for the selected tracker, displaying its specific data and configuration options.
Step 04 - Click the Add Log button to add a log to the selected tracker.
You can use the Record button, located at the bottom-right corner of the comment field, to add your comment using your voice. It will transcribe speech to text in real time, supporting all system languages.

Step 05 - Complete all the required fields. Click 'Save' after completing the above-mentioned fields. Once completed, a performance tracker log will be created.
