An interview can be conducted in 3 ways: Psychometric, Aptitude, A normal interview. Irrespective of the type of interview, the interviewer needs to have a proper structure before conducting the interview so that the interviewer can design questions to analyze individuals and decide how suitable they are for the applied job. All of the above can be achieved if the interviewer uses a proper template. With the help of OrangeHRM, interviewers can now prepare for interviews as OrangeHRM is fully capable of creating customizable interview templates.
Using the questions defined through the question pool, the user can create any number of Interview Templates. To access this feature go to Recruitment -> Configuration ->Interview Templates. The 'Interview Templates' screen is displayed as follows.
Step 2 - Click the ‘ Add’ button (which is towards the bottom right-hand corner of the above screen). This triggers the ‘Interview Template’ screen to appear.
Step 3 - Complete the following fields of the above screen:

The maximum score for the interview. This is an optional field that appears when the ‘ Numeric Score’ field has been selected as the ‘Interview Outcome’. The maximum score which the user could provide is 100. |

Step 4 - Click ‘SAVE’ to create a new interview template.
Step 5 - From the ‘Interview Template’ Details screen, click the to add the question sections to the template. Then the Question Section Description screen appears.
Note: The button towards the top right-hand side of the section can be used to delete the section.
Step 6 - Complete the following fields of the above screen.

The name of the competency relevant to a question section Competencies is defined through the performance module. |

The weight of competency relevant to a question. Each competency may be weighted differently in each interview. However, the total weight -get across all the competencies is 100. |
Intelligent Auto Generation of Question |
An option that allows the system to generate subsequent questions based on answers provided by a candidate. Based on the previous answers, the system gradually increases or decreases the difficulty of the next question posed to the candidate. If this option is selected, then all the remaining fields which are below this option on this screen are hidden. |
Step 7 - If the ‘Intelligent Auto Generation of Questions’ option is not selected, click ‘Add’ to add questions to the template or the user can click the ‘Remove’ button to remove the selected question.
Upon clicking the ‘Add’ button the following screen is activated.
Step 8 - Select the desired option for adding questions to the template and click ‘Proceed’. The options are:
- Select from the Question Pool
- Auto Generate During Interview
Step 9 - If the user chose ‘Select from Question Pool ‘as the desired option, the Question Pool for the selected competency appears. Select the questions which the user wishes to add to the template and click.
Step 10 - If the user wants to choose ‘Auto Generate During Interview’ as the desired option, then the ‘Auto Generate During Interview’ is displayed as follows. Define the number of questions of each difficulty level relative to the selected Competency that should be added to the template. Then click ‘Save’.
Step 11 - All questions are added using either of the options that appear on the Interview Template Question section screen.
Step 12 - The user can ‘ Sort Questions’ according to Ascending Difficulty, Descending Difficulty, and Random.
Step 13 - Click Save to save this Question Section. The user may now repeat this process to add new sections and questions from different competencies.
