A performance appraisal is the best and most commonly used method to assess the performance of an employee. However, an HR professional and a supervisor may also use alternative methods apart from a performance appraisal to assess the performance of an employee.
A common secondary method is comparing the performance against other employees. HR professionals and supervisors tend to compare the performance of employees who are on the same level so that they could understand the fluctuations in performance much better. With OrangeHRM, users can now easily compare the performance of an employee against other employees and understand the difference in performance levels and come to an informed conclusion.
The admin user can view and compare the competency scores given by the main evaluator to different employee appraisals
Go to Reports and Analytics -> Performance Comparison. This will bring the user to the 'Performance Comparison Report' screen as follows:
Step 1: Complete the above-mentioned fields to generate the report.
|Employee Name||The name of the employees for whom the report should be generated for.|
|Job Titles||Choose the job titles of the preferred employees from the available drop-down list.|
|Job Category||Choose the job categories of the preferred employees from the drop-down list.|
The user can choose the following from the drop-down options:
Upon choosing either 'After' or 'Before' the following field appears, . Define the relevant time period via this field.
Upon choosing 'Between' the following fields appears:
. Define the relevant time periods via these fields.
|Sub Unit||Choose the departments of the preferred employees from the drop-down list.|
|Location:||Choose the locations of the preferred employees from the drop-down list.|
|Supervisors||Choose the respective supervisors of the preferred employees from the drop-down list.|
|Goal||Choose the goals of the preferred employees from the drop-down list.|
|Appraisal Period||Define the appraisal periods.|
The user can include either of the following employees for the report:
Note: This button is available for all fields except for the following fields:
- Joined Date
- Appraisal Period
This button helps the user to add entries for a field based on which comparisons are being made.
Step 2: Click 'Search' after defining the above-mentioned fields.
