Workplace attendance is the hours and days that employees show up for work. For employers, it's important to know if and when their employees are showing up as scheduled. As an employee, once you have recorded your office in/out times, you can simply check all your attendance data through the OrangeHRM attendance records feature.
Step 1 - To Navigate, Go to Attendance-> My Attendance Sheet
Step 2 - Click the clock icon to punch in/out. Upon clicking the clock Icon system directs to the punch-in/out screen based on the last action you have performed.
Step 3 - Click on the "Punch In" button to perform the Punch In.
Step 4 - Click on the "Punch Out" button to perform the punch-out.
Pay Hours
In the top section of the attendance sheet, the detailed attendance information, along with the work hours (Total time, Regular time, Overtime, Double-time, Weekly overtime), is displayed according to the respective pay policies defined in the system.
Period
This section is to show the current attendance sheet.
This Week
You can view the attendance records for the current week along with the number of hours that you have spent each day.
Based on the holidays that your HR Admin defined, you can visualize Public holidays, weekends, the days that you have taken leave, and the days that you have not added to the attendance records. Each will be defined with different color codes as shown below.
Step 5 - To see the punch-in/out times for a specific date, select any date in the sheet.
Overnight Shift Support
OrangeHRM now offers enhanced support for overnight shifts, ensuring accurate and simplified time tracking for employees who work across two calendar days.
All hours worked during an overnight shift are now seamlessly allocated to the day the shift began. This provides a clearer, more accurate view of total hours worked without splitting time between two different days.
This enhancement streamlines payroll processing and reporting for overnight schedules, ensuring hours are calculated consistently and fairly, just like day shifts.

Step 6 - To submit your attendance sheet, click on the "Submit" button.
As a supervisor, you can add attendance records for your employees. When you do this, the system will automatically use the employee's assigned location and time zone as the default for the new record.
Now you can perform Punch In or Punch Out actions, or edit your previous attendance records using the Edit in Timeline view.
