Employee onboarding activities that you would want a new recruit to do, or duties that you must complete when there is a new hire are specified as tasks. For example, provide a company ID card, a laptop, or other equipment, and conduct an induction program, among other things. Similarly, there would be responsibilities associated with the offboarding process.
Once the HR admin assigns a task to you, OrangeHRM sends you a notification email. You can complete the task in OrangeHRM, as described below, or straight from the email, as described in Complete a Task from the Notification Email.
Step 1 - Go to On/0ffboarding -> My Tasks and view the Tasks that have been assigned for you by the HR admin.
Step 2 - Click the filter icon to set up the filter to get the required set of events.

Step 7- In the task screen upload the required document.
Upon uploading the document and hitting the complete button, it will sync the attachments to the required section of the employee profile.
Step 8- Go to the employee profile and the section to see the synced attachment.
Complete a Task from the Notification Email
On/Offboarding task straight from the email that tells you about it, without logging in to OrangeHRM. The Mark as Complete button appears in these emails:
- On/Offboarding - New Task Created Notification
- On/Offboarding - Pending Task Notification
- On/Offboarding - Reminder Task Notification
- On/Offboarding - Task Due date Updated Notification
Step 1 - Open the task notification email.
Step 2 - Click Mark as Complete next to the task you want to complete. If the email lists several tasks, each one has its own button. The task page opens in your browser, and you are not asked to log in.
On/Off Boarding task notifications above include a Mark as Complete button. The button appears only for tasks that can still be completed, and only for recipients who are allowed to complete them. For how task owners use it, see How to Action over My Tasks.
Step 3 - Check the task details: the task name and description, the employee the task relates to, the event, the task owner, the due date and the current status.
Step 4 - Add a comment in the comment box, if you want to. This step is optional.
Step 5 - If the task needs a document, drag your files into the attachment area, or click the area to browse for them. Skip this step for tasks that don't need a document.
Step 6 - Click Complete Task. A message confirms that the task is now recorded as complete, and nothing more is needed from you.
The task is recorded as completed by you, on the date you complete it, in the same way as completing it in OrangeHRM. Your comment and any files you add are saved with the task. If the task needs a document, Complete Task becomes available only after you add at least one file. You can attach PDF, image, Office or text files, up to the size limit shown on the page.
Note: If you receive the email but aren't the task owner, for example as the event owner, the page shows the task but tells you that only the task owner can complete it.
Note: The link works until 90 days after the task's due date. After that, or if the task has already been completed, the page tells you the link has expired. You can still open the task in OrangeHRM.
Note: If you are not allowed to complete the task, the page tells you so and shows a Log In button, so you can view the task in OrangeHRM instead.
