In a typical workplace, employees often need to submit requests to different departments—such as obtaining an employment letter from HR or requesting IT support. Managing these requests can be time-consuming and difficult to track. The OrangeHRM Request Desk module simplifies this process by allowing employees to submit and manage all types of requests in one place, with conversations recorded and requests efficiently handled by the relevant teams. This streamlines request handling, improves visibility, and reduces administrative effort through standardization, traceability, automated notifications, and employee self-service.
How to Submit Requests
Step 1 - Go to More -> Request Desk -> Submit Request
Step 2 - Select a request type and click "Next".
Note that the request types and request desk form fields may vary based on the configurations set by the HR administrator.
Step 3 - Upon clicking, the following screen will appear.
Note - If you submit a request and you are also listed as an approver at one or more approval levels, the system automatically approves those levels for you.
Additional fields like "Reason for Relocation/Transfer" and "Preferred Location of Transfer" are considered custom fields, and their presence or specifics may differ depending on how the HR administrator has incorporated them. These custom fields are subject to variation based on the request forms.
