In a typical work environment, an employee may need to request different departments for different requirements. May that be an employment letter from the HR Department or an equipment upgrade from the IT department, these requests will be hectic to manage and keep track of. In order to mitigate the hassle, the OrangeHRM Request Desk module allows employees to create different requests to different entities in your organization to get their requirements facilitated; where every conversation will be held on record, and every request will be kept on track and efficiently managed by relevant parties.
The employees can use the Request Desk module to submit questions and queries if employees want to submit a request for IT support, a letter request, or a self-resignation submission can now be performed through the Request Desk module. This will streamline the request process, reducing the time and effort required for submission and processing. There are several benefits:

Regional admins can assign approvers to requests from any location, even for requests with limited location access. This feature allows the employees to connect globally among the employees from different locations.
Additional fields like "Reason for Relocation/Transfer" and "Preferred Location of Transfer" are considered custom fields, and their presence or specifics may differ depending on how the HR administrator has incorporated them. These custom fields are subject to variation based on the request forms.
How to submit resignation requests
The purpose of submitting the Resignation Request feature in the Orange HRM system is to introduce a critical step in the resignation process. It formalizes the employee's decision to resign, initiates HR workflows, ensures standardization and documentation, and helps maintain the privacy and security of sensitive information. It is a crucial part of the organization's HR processes and facilitates a smooth transition for the employee and the company.

To submit a Resignation Request in the OrangeHRM Request Desk module, the user needs to go to the submit request page where the user will be presented with the following screen to select the Resignation Request type from the drop-down list. These types will be based on the types that the admin has created on the system.

My General Requests
The employee is capable of viewing the list of requests made by him, filtering, editing, and submitting requests from the same screen.
When you open the request from my requests screen, you have the capability to add comments to the conversations, add attachments as well, and take action on your request.
Furthermore, each of these actions will have email notifications sent out from the system.
