System now introduces the possibility of adding custom fields to ‘Employment Details’ section in ‘Job Tab’. This means now customers can have additional job information that the history can be tracked for those in ‘Job History’ section. (This is in addition to the standard data available under ‘Job Tab-Employment Details’)
This does not take away the functionality of adding custom fields in a customized section under Job Tab. That will remain the same.
However, if a custom field is intended to be added to ‘Employment Details’ section, now you can add them under default section(‘Other Job Details’) available in custom field configuration as below.
PIM >> Configuration >> Custom Fields
Custom fields that are added under ‘Other Job Details’ will be displayed under ‘Employment Details’ section in Job Tab.

The history tracked for those fields are available in ‘Job History’ section. You can expand the view and check the history of custom fields towards the right end of the table.

Ex: ABC Company in Maldives occupies about 40% expatriates in their organization. All expatriates are supposed to hold a Work Permit to work in Maldives. The Work Permit renewed history is important for them to file with authorities when the person leaves the organization. This is to ensure the employee and employer is cleared in the under their immigration law.
This is an ideal situation they can make the Work Permit Expiry a custom field in Other Job Details section and track history on every renewal.
