The following functionality is provided as part of the core module. This module is available as part of all OrangeHRM deployments.
OrangeHRM introduced a new help platform “OrangeHRM Help” to replace OrangeHRM University. We’re really excited about this as we have made it easier for users of OrangeHRM to get access to information that improves their experience.
OrangeHRM Help includes a wide range of useful information including keyword search, product feature articles, videos and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). We’re committed to extending and expanding the information included providing all our clients with an extensive knowledge base of key information.
There are two ways to access OrangeHRM Help.
Firstly, through direct access through https://help.orangehrm.com/
Alternatively, context-sensitive help is available within the user interface by selecting the HELP button on the right-hand side of the screen.
Audit Trail Action Owner Search
In Audit Trail, a filter called “Action Owner” which is used to filter out the actions made by an individual in audit details. The way Action Owner filter works have now been changed to facilitate search based on employee name or user name.
The following screen displays the search result of Action Owner based on employee name. The Middle Name is also considered when searching.
Since the search now supports both employee name and user name, if the search text is based on user name “jhn”, in the user with the user name jhn22 is displayed in the filter search results.
Regional Publication of News & Documents
The system now supports user role restriction to viewing, publishing, updating and deleting news and documents.
There are two data groups created to support user roles access. Those are,
- Admin - Announcements Documents
- Admin - Announcements News
Regional Admins are ONLY able to see documents that are published or saved to be published to their administrative location.
These documents are visible in the News/Documents list, Dashboard, More-> Announcement -> News / Documents and News / Documents acknowledgment reports.
Salary Components Per Column in Reports
Salary components appear as separate display fields in the report defining screen. All the salary components available in the system at the time of configuring report appear in the selection criteria.
Users can select one or more salary components to include in the report as display fields. Earnings should come before the Deductions in the column order.
In PIM reports, a report can be created with salary information. These reports can now have salary components created for individuals.
The following screen displays the salary components selected for the report such as Travelling Allowance and Pension Contribution.
If the report is executed, the salary components are displayed in separate columns. Note that Travel Allowance comes before Pension Contribution since the first two are Earnings type and Pension Contribution is a Deduction type.
Default File upload Size increased to 5MB
By default, OrangeHRM offers you to attach a document or any other attachment of a maximum of 5 MB. However, if you contact our support services team via email (firstname.lastname@example.org), you can always get the file size increased further.
