It’s very common these days organization requires their staff to change their passwords every number of days due to enhance a secure login mechanism. Many systems “expire” each user’s password after an established period of weeks or months. Security experts have insisted on password expiration to foil an attacker who intercepts or guesses the previous password. When a user has switched to a new password, it is not possible to track the previous password.
The default behavior of the password expiration in the OrangeHRM takes place every 3 months.
Step 1- You need to login to the OrangeHRM system with your username and existing password.
Step 2 - User account has been created on 3rd of June and When the user enters the username and password, if the user account is expired, the system navigates the user to the change password screen.
Step 3 - When the user directs to this screen, the username is un-editable and it allows the user to enter the current password along with the new password.
Your existing password should be added in the 'Current Password' field, along with adding the 'New Password' and confirming the password in 'Confirm New Password'. The new password should be a combination of uppercase, lowercase, symbols, and numbers.
Step 4 - Once the change has been made and saved, the user can log into the system by adding the username with the newly created password.
