The following functionality is provided as part of the core module. This module is available as part of all OrangeHRM deployments. 

Enhancements to date range capabilities

In this release, date-based custom fields in the PIM module show 50 years to the future and past from the current year / selected year, earlier it was limited to only 20 years. Additionally, this capability is now available to custom date fields in the following views, 

• PIM / Expense Reports 
• Add Employee Wizard
• Leave Rule Configuration

Reset Filter behavior changes 

In this feature, the user can save their preferred set of filter criteria as the default filter. When the user has configured a default filter for him/her, upon clicking the "Reset" button after a search, the system resets the search filters and the list to the user-defined default.

When the user has NOT configured a default filter, upon clicking the "Reset" button after a search, the system resets the search filters and the list to the default that is shipped with the product

After selecting the “Reset” within the filter, the search section results in resetting the search filters and list to the default view. When saved, the same filters are applied every time when the user accesses the following lists. 

• Employee List
• Appraisal List
• Leave Calendar

User role fixes / improvements 

In the admin module, the "Default ESS" and "Default Supervisor " roles are configured in the user roles list to enhance the usability when creating the user roles. With this new release, the improvements for the user roles are now available through the OrangeHRM system.  By default, accessibility privileges are already configured for the user roles to ease the work when creating user roles. 

If the user needs to change the data group permission, only Global Admins are able to change the data group permission of "Default ESS" and "Default Supervisor" roles. The workflow permissions are not editable for the default user roles. 

When trying to edit data group permissions for "Default ESS" and "Default Supervisor", only the Data-group permissions that are available for "Custom ESS" and "Custom Supervisors" are available for modification.

When creating new custom supervisors and custom ESS user roles, default permissions are selected by copying them from the 2 default roles

Since these permissions are copied from default roles, If permissions for default roles are changed, from that point onward, when users try to create new custom supervisor roles and ESS roles, changed permissions are shown by default

Workflow management changes are now reflected in the user role section. A separate workflow management option now exists for Goals and Appraisals.
