The OrangeHRM Request Desk module is a feature that allows employees to submit various types of requests, such as leave, travel, expense reimbursements, or general queries, which are then routed to the relevant personnel (usually the HR or admin team) for review, approval, or resolution. It streamlines the request management process by centralizing all employee requests in one place, ensuring that no requests are overlooked and that they are processed efficiently.

- Photographic Evidence or Attachments: Employees can capture and attach photos or documents directly from their mobile devices to support their requests (e.g., photos of a broken office chair or a system error).
- Improved Communication: The module facilitates seamless communication between employees and request handlers via comments or updates within the system, even when employees are on the go.
- Self-Service Capability: Mobile access empowers employees to take charge of their requests without needing to rely on third parties for follow-ups or status checks.
Step 1: First Log in to the application using the username and the password,
Once you log in, the Dashboard will be displayed. Tap on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen to access the Request Desk Module.
Step 2: To Submit a Request select the Request Desk module.
Step 3: click the "Add button" located, in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Once clicked, a window will appear, allowing you to select the request type.
Step 4: From the list, choose the request type you wish to proceed with.
Step 5: Fill in all the fields related to the request type you have selected. After completing the form, click "Save" to keep the request in draft status or click "Submit" to finalize and submit the request.

Approvers | If the request type requires approval from a supervisor or another employee before it is passed to the final receiver, ensure to indicate the necessary approval process during submission. |
How to Add a Comment to a Request
Step 6: To start a conversation with Request Stakeholders click "Conversation Tab".
A new window will open, click on the "Add button", located bottom-right corner of the screen to add a comment. Also, you have the option to set the visibility of the comment for each action owner. To edit/delete swipe the comment left, and click edit.
Click the "Add" button to add an attachment to the request. Swipe left to edit/delete or export the attachments.
How to View Request History
You can view the Request History by clicking "the Request History" section.
How to View Previously Submitted Requests
Once you submit a request, it will be displayed under "My Request". Click on the request to view the details. If further adjustments are required, you can edit the request by clicking the "Edit button".
How to Filter Requests
To filter the requests, click the filter icon located in the top-right corner of the screen. Upon clicking, a window will appear.
Use the following table as a reference for applying filters. Select the fields and click "Search".
