A password is a security mechanism that consists of a passphrase created using Alphabetic, Numeric, Alphanumeric, Symbolic characters, or a combination of two or more of the said formats. It is used to restrict access to a System, Application, or Service to those who are authorized to use it. To prevent unauthorized access OrangeHRM is coded to provide system-guided instructions on creating a secure password.
Login to OrangeHRM using your Admin credentials and go to HR Administration > Users
Change the Password of the User
Step 1 - From the list of Users in the system, find the User Account in which you want to change the password.
Step 2 - Once you find the user, click on the pencil icon next to it, and a pop up will appear.
Step 3 - On this pop-up window, select the checkbox before 'Change Password' as shown below.
Step 4 - Proceed to enter the new password in the fields 'Password*' and 'Confirm Password*'. Please make sure that these new passwords adhere to OrangeHRM Password Policy. Once you're done, click on the 'SAVE' button to proceed with the password change.
Step 5 - The User can then proceed to use this newly changed password to log in. It is highly recommended to change the password upon logging in.
