The term "workplace attendance" refers to whether or not an employee arrived to work on time and at the appointed hour. The term most frequently refers to employees who are paid hourly.
Employees are expected to show up for every shift on time, although they occasionally miss shifts without taking time off. Absenteeism is defined as a pattern of unexcused absences. This trend of frequent absenteeism might have a negative impact on a company's bottom line. Employers may utilize attendance and absence tracking to identify patterns and potentially terminate employees who have too many unexcused absences.

If the HR Admin has configured the attendance settings, by not allowing employees to edit the date and time for both punch in/out, the system will automatically capture the “system time”.
