What is the OrangeHRM Timeclock?
The OrangeHRM Timeclock is a lightweight, standalone solution designed as a cost-effective alternative to biometric devices for tracking employee attendance. This allows employees to perform essential punch actions - Punch In, Punch Out, and view their Attendance History - through a simple, intuitive interface that syncs seamlessly with OrangeHRM's Attendance Module.

Simple Four-Step Process
The Timeclock simplifies attendance tracking to just four straightforward actions:
- Punch In: For when employees arrive at the office
- Punch Out: For when employees leave the office
- History: To view all punch records for the current day
- Reload: To refresh the interface
Step 01 - Click on the TimeClock Link to proceed.
Ex:- yourcompanyname.orangehrm.com/timeclock
How to Perform Punch-In and Out
Step 02 - Upon clicking the TimeClock link, the following screen will appear.
To perform a Punch-In/Punch-Out, select the Punch-In/Punch-Out tab and enter your assigned Employee ID in the "Employee ID" field.
Note: TimeClock Lite supports flexible username options using various employee data fields. The following fields can be configured as the username for TimeClock access:
Available Username Source Options:
- Employee ID
- User Account Username
- Main ID (SSN)
- Work Email
- Mobile Number
- Work Telephone Number
- Driver's License Number
- Custom Field

Step 03 - After entering your Employee ID, a pop-up window will appear. In this window, enter your 4-Digit PIN to complete the Punch-In/Punch-Out process.

Step 04 - Upon entering your PIN code, a pop-up window will appear confirming that your Punch-In/Punch-Out has been successfully recorded.
Note: You have only 3 attempts to enter your PIN correctly. If you enter the wrong PIN, an error message will appear.
How to Access the Attendance History Section
Step 01 - To view your TimeClock history,
- Select the History section
- Enter your Employee ID
- Enter your 4-digit PIN
Step 02 - Your attendance history will be displayed, showing all your recorded punch-in and punch-out times.
Step 03 - To reload the page, simply click on the Reload button.
