This guide will walk you through the process of creating and managing your 4-digit PIN for the OrangeHRM TimeClock Lite system. Your PIN is essential for securely recording your attendance through the TimeClock interface.
Prerequisites
Before creating your PIN, ensure that:
- You have access to your OrangeHRM employee account
- Your administrator has enabled the PIN custom field in the system
Step 01: Log in to OrangeHRM
- Navigate to your organization's OrangeHRM Instance and enter your username and password.
- Click the "Login" button
Step 02: Access Your Profile
- Navigate to the Employee Management module
- Select the "My Info" section.
Step 03: Locate the PIN Section
- After clicking on the Employee Management module, your own profile will open.
- From there, navigate to the Personal Details section.

Scroll down through your profile until you locate the field labeled "Timeclock Passcode"
Note: TimeClock Lite offers multiple PIN configuration options beyond the standard custom field.
Available PIN Sources:
- First 4 digits of Main ID (SSN)
- Last 4 digits of Main ID (SSN)
- First 4 digits of Driver's License Number
- Last 4 digits of Driver's License Number

Step 4: Create Your PIN
- Enter a 4-digit numeric PIN of your choice
- Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page
Important: Do not share your PIN with anyone
PIN Requirements
- Must be exactly 4 digits
- Numbers only (0-9)
- No letters or special characters
- Cannot be blank
- Should be memorable but not easily guessable
Best Practices for PIN Selection
Do:
- Choose a PIN you can easily remember
- Use a combination that's meaningful to you
- Keep your PIN confidential
- Update your PIN periodically if concerned about security
Don't:
- Use obvious sequences (1234, 0000, 1111)
- Share your PIN with colleagues
- Write your PIN where others can see it
- Use your employee ID or birth year
