We have made some major changes in version 7.5 of the OrangeHRM system. As you can see, we have a whole new look and updated functionality to go along with it. This article outlines how you can access the features as an employee in your OrangeHRM 7.5 system.
The Dashboard
The OrangeHRM Dashboard allows you to easily see the actions that you need to perform. For example, if you have been assigned a goal or an appraisal by your supervisor this is visible as a pending item that you need to action via the “my Action” widget. You navigated to the dashboard in previous versions by expanding the ‘other’ section and clicking on ‘Dashboard'.
But we’ve made things easier for you in our latest update. In version 7.5 You’ll be able to navigate to the dashboard simply by clicking on the home icon on the top navigation bar or by navigating to the Employee Management Module and clicking on ‘dashboard’ from the top navigation bar. Please refer below:

Logging out of the system
In previous versions, you logged by expanding the section below your profile picture and clicking on ‘Logout’.
In version 7.5 You’ll be able to log out by clicking on the logout option on the top navigation bar as shown below:

About
In previous versions of the orange HRM System, you would have to expand the ‘other’ section to access the about section. Please refer to the steps below to access the about section In version 7.5:
- Hover over your profile picture on the side navigation bar, for the ‘cogwheel’ icon to appear
- Click on the cogwheel to open up the options dropdown
- From the options drop down navigate to the about section by clicking on ‘about’

Changing your password
In previous versions, you changed your password by expanding the section below your profile picture and clicking on ‘Change Password’. Similarly to navigating to the about section, In version 7.5, You’ll be able to log out by Hovering over your profile picture on the side navigation bar, for the ‘cogwheel’ icon to appear. Then click on the cogwheel to open up the options dropdown, and from the options select the change password function.
My Info
In previous versions, the my info section was located on the side navigation panel. However, with our new modular system, we have moved the my info screen under the employee management module. You will be able to access my info screen by navigating to Employee Management > My Info as seen below:

Leave
In previous versions, users would be able to expand the leave module from the side navigation bar to access the required sections. When expanded, you will be able to see options to apply for leave, see your leave usage and entitlements, leave calendar and leave reports.
However, in our new UI, instead of expanding the side navigation bar like you would in previous versions, these options would be found in the top navigation bar. Refer below:

Time
In older versions of the system, you would be able to access your timesheets by expanding the time section on the side panel.
In version 7.5 the user will be able to locate their respective timesheets by navigating to the time tracking module and selecting it from the top navigation bar, as seen below:

Attendance
In version 7.4.2 and lower, when expanding the attendance module within the side panel we can see that there are two main functionalities. The first is to view my records, and the second is to punch in and out.
These functions have been relocated to the attendance module in version 7.5 and higher. You will be able to access my records, and the punch in and out functions over on the top navigation bar as shown below:

Training
In old versions of the system, under the training section, you will be able to find your participatory records and your assessments.
In the latest version of the orange HRM system, these options will be under the training module on the left sidebar. Once clicked on the module, you will be directed to my participating sessions screen by default. From here you’ll be able to navigate to ‘my assessments’ by expanding the online assessment courses option on the top navigation bar as seen below:

Performance
In older versions of the system, by expanding the performance section on the side panel, you will be able to view my trackers, my goals and my appraisals.
All the above mentioned functions have been relocated to the performance module in version 7.5 and higher. To access these functions navigate to the performance module and you will be able to find them on the top navigation bar, similarly to all other sub-menu items. Please refer to the image below:

Succession and development
In version 7.5 and higher, the ESS user will be able to access his/her IDPs by navigating to the currier development module. Please refer to the image below:

More
In previous versions, this section consists of announcements, Buzz, Preferences, Organizational chart, the company directory and your assets. In version 7.5 and higher, these options have been relocated to multiple modules throughout the system. The announcements section can be accessed by navigating to the employee management module and expanding it from the top navigation bar.
Buzz can also be found within the employee management module and can be accessed by selecting it from the top navigation bar. The preferences and My assets screens can be accessed by navigating to the HR Administration module and selecting it from the top navigation bar as seen below:
Finally, To get to the Organisational chart and the company directory, select the respective option from the top navigation bar by navigating to the employee management module as seen below.
