Feature Overview
Performance Core is where your organisation runs employee performance reviews. A review brings together the questions your organisation wants answered, the employee being reviewed, and the people evaluating them — the employee themselves and their manager. Each completes their own evaluation independently, and once both are submitted they can see each other's answers.
Performance Core is available in the Enterprise edition.
Note: Performance Core is a separate module from Performance Pro. If your organisation uses Performance Pro, that module continues to work exactly as before, and the two are managed independently. Help articles written for Performance Pro do not apply to Performance Core.
Interface Overview
Open Performance Core from the main menu. Inside it, a row of tabs runs across the top of the page, and which tabs you get depends on your role — an employee sees only My Reviews, a Head of Department also sees Performance Reviews and Review Templates, and an Admin sees Performance Reviews, Review Templates and Review Plans and Cycles:
• Review Templates — the blueprint a review is built from: the questions, who evaluates, how the manager is chosen, and which parts of the organisation it covers.
• Performance Reviews — reviews for the employees you manage or administer. The left panel lists employees; the right panel shows the selected employee's reviews and the evaluation.
• My Reviews — your own reviews, as the person being reviewed.
• Review Plans and Cycles — the schedule that creates reviews automatically.

How a review moves from start to finish
1. A review template is created — the blueprint: the questions, who evaluates, how the manager is worked out, and which subunits can use it.
2. A performance review is created for an employee, either manually or automatically by the review plan. The review takes its own copy of the template's questions.
3. Each evaluator completes their evaluation. They can save and return to it, or submit it.
4. Once both evaluations are submitted, each person can see the other's answers.
Visual Indicators & Statuses
Each review shows a status that reflects your position on it, not just the review's internal state.
| Status | Meaning |
| Overdue | You have not submitted, and the submission due date has passed |
| Upcoming | You have not submitted, and the due date has not passed |
| Submitted | You have submitted your evaluation |
| Completed | Every evaluator on the review has submitted |
• Completed outranks Submitted. A review is Completed only once every evaluator has submitted.
• Due dates use the employee's time zone. Comparisons are made in the reviewed employee's location time zone, not the server's.
Notes & Important Behaviour
Reviews keep their own copy of the questions. A review copies the template's questions when it is created. Editing the template afterwards does not change reviews that already exist.
Answers stay private until both sides submit. You cannot see another evaluator's answers until you have submitted your own and they have submitted theirs.
Submitting is final. Once you submit an evaluation, you cannot reopen it yourself.
During a trial. While your organisation is on a Performance Core trial, a Trial badge appears next to Performance Core in the menu and next to the page title. Hovering over it explains the trial. An Admin can opt out under Admin > Configuration > Performance Core Trial, which hides the module for everyone until they opt back in. No data is deleted by opting out.
