Find your device's model, serial number, and firmware version, so we know which setup steps and settings apply to your device.
Menus and available settings differ between device models and firmware versions. Confirming these three details first tells us exactly which of the remaining setup instructions apply to your device. It takes about two minutes.
Before you start
- You'll need the admin PIN or password for the device menu. Without it, the menu won't open.
- Know the keys. From the start screen, press M/OK to open the Main Menu. Use the arrow keys to move, M/OK to select, and ESC to go back a level.
- You're only reading information. Nothing is changed on the device, and no attendance data is affected, so this is safe to do during working hours.
- Take a photo of each screen you check. If anything on your device does not match what you see below, the photos let us confirm exactly what we are looking at.

If your screens look different
Menu names and layouts vary across models and firmware versions. If what you see does not match this guide, the following usually explains it.
- The menu asks for admin verification. The device is asking you to identify yourself as an administrator, using a PIN, password, card, or enrolled fingerprint. Only an administrator account will open the menu.
- There is no System Info entry. Older firmware may label it Sys Info or System Information, and on some models it sits inside a System or Settings menu. Look for the closest equivalent.
- There is no Firmware Info entry. On some versions the firmware version appears on the Device Info screen itself, or under About. Photograph whichever screen shows a version number.
- Nothing matches at all. Photograph the Main Menu and send it to us. We will point you straight to the right screens rather than have you keep searching.
| Please do not reset the device or restore factory defaults while looking for these screens. A reset can clear enrolled fingerprints and any punch data still held on the device. If you get stuck, stop and contact us. |
