Every configuration and review action in Performance Pulse is recorded automatically, giving you a full history of who changed what and when. You review this history on the Audit Trail screen. Nothing needs to be switched on for it to be captured.
What Is Recorded
In the Audit Trail, Performance Pulse records are under the module Performance Pulse, in these sections:
| Section | Actions recorded |
|---|---|
| Review Template | Add, update and delete review templates. |
| Performance Review | Add, update, delete and automatically create performance reviews. |
| Review Evaluation | Save and submit evaluations. |
| Review Plan | Update review plans, such as the New Hire Probation Review Plan. |
| Continuous Feedback (new) | Add Continuous Feedback, Update Continuous Feedback and Delete Continuous Feedback. |
| Continuous Feedback Provider (new) | Add Continuous Feedback Provider and Delete Continuous Feedback Provider. |
Review the Audit Trail
Step 1 - Go to HR Administration > Audit Trail.
Step 2 - Click Filter. The filter window opens.
Step 3 - Select Performance Pulse in Module.
Step 4 - Select the area you are interested in from Section, for example Performance Review or Continuous Feedback.
Step 5 - Click Search. Each entry shows the action, the employee it applied to, who did it and when.
Use the export option to download the records, for example as a CSV file, for offline review or record keeping.
Continuous Feedback records
From version 8.2.2 onwards, changes to Continuous Feedback are recorded. In these entries, the Employee column shows the employee the feedback is about. The Action Description shows the details of the change.
| Action | What the description shows |
|---|---|
| Add Continuous Feedback | The log headline, performance rating, comment, whether it is visible to the employee, and the names of any attached files. |
| Update Continuous Feedback | Only the fields that changed, with the old and new value of each, and any files added or removed. Saving with no real change does not create an entry. |
| Delete Continuous Feedback | The details the deleted entry held. Deleting several entries at once creates one record per entry. |
| Add Continuous Feedback Provider | The name of the person given access. Adding several people creates one record per person. |
| Delete Continuous Feedback Provider | The name of the person whose access was removed. One record is created per person. |
Example: An Update Continuous Feedback entry might read: Continuous feedback was updated. Performance was changed from "Positive" to "General Comments". Visible to employee was changed from Yes to No.
Note: To see Continuous Feedback records, your user role needs Read on the Performance Pulse - Continuous Feedback permission group. To see Continuous Feedback Provider records, it needs Read on Performance Pulse - Continuous Feedback Providers. In both cases you also need access to the Audit Trail screen.
Note: The Audit Trail is a read-only history. You cannot edit or remove entries, which is what makes it a reliable record for accountability.
