Setting a Secondary password can keep your account safe from unauthorized access, and it is only shown if there is suspicious activity like logging into the system using another machine. With the secondary password option, the user can log in to the system. Technically, two-factor authentication is required to gain access to a system for extra assurance to identify the real user.
Please ensure that your secondary password is different from the primary one, as the former is sometimes transferred over networks in an unencrypted form, which makes it more vulnerable.
Once you click the "Reset button", an email will be sent to the email address you have entered.
Step 3 – Check your email inbox for an email from OrangeHRM with the subject line “OrangeHRM Password Reset”. This email will contain a link to reset the password, with a password reset code.
Step 4 – Click on the password reset link. Once you click the link, this window will appear. Enter a strong password containing Letters, Numbers, and special Characters in the "New Primary Password" field, and enter the same password in the "Confirm New Primary Password" field.
Step 5 – Set the new password and click on the "Save" button. Click the "GO TO LOGIN PAGE button". It will redirect to your home page.
