With the growing need to increase data integrity, it is required by organizations to introduce policies that minimize weak links within the systems used. Therefore it is highly recommended by IT security experts to enable password expiry options built into software systems.
It is with this requirement that OrangeHRM is equipped to have the passwords expire every 3 months by default.
Step 1- You need to log in to the OrangeHRM system with your username and existing password.
Step 2 - When the user enters the username and password, if the user account is expired, the system navigates the user to the change password screen.
Step 3 - On the screen below, the username is un-editable and the user is required to enter the current password and then create a new password.
Your existing password should be entered in the 'Current Password' field, and the 'New Password' as well as re-confirming the password in the 'Confirm New Password field. The new password should be a combination of uppercase, lowercase, symbols, and numbers.
Step 4 - Once the change has been made and saved, the user can log into the system by adding the username with the newly created password.
