    The OrangeHRM Dashboard allows you to easily see the actions that you need to perform. For example, if you have been assigned a goal or an appraisal by your supervisor this is visible as a pending item that you need to action via the “my Action” widget.

    There are a number of additional widgets that can be configured to appear on the Dashboard, Quick access (for all your shortcuts), Employee Leave data, etc. Let us go ahead and see this in the system. When you are logged into the system, the Dashboard is the first screen you will see. Alternatively,  or you can access the dashboard screen by clicking on the Home icon or by going to More -> Dashboard.

    My Widget Configuration

    You can define what widgets are displayed on your dashboard screen according to the widgets that are available for you. By clicking on the configuration icon you can see the widgets which are available for you. From here you can either enable or disable the widgets as per your preference.

    My Actions 

    The My Action widget will show the pending appraisals, goals, Onboarding/offboarding events, tasks, or any training added for you that you may need to act.

    If there are specific items within the My Action Widget that you are not interested in seeing, simply click the configuration icon on top of this widget and you can disable it from here. 

    Step 1 - Click the configuration icon,  you can enable and disable the notifications with respect to the modules. You can summarise the requests to be shown in the action widget.

    If you click on the down arrow for Pending appraisal review within the widget, you can choose to show either a Summary of requests or individual requests related to the module.

    If you wish to remove a widget completely, you can simply click on this configuration icon and select remove.

     

    Quick Access 

    Through the ‘quick access’  widget you can access your saved shortcuts screens. All the saved shortcuts will be displayed here and you can click the listed shortcuts to view that specific screen.

    As an example, if you make the employee list screen a shortcut as shown below.

    Step 1: Click "Add to My Shortcuts". Add the name and click 'Save'

    News and Documents 

    All the published news and documents will display as below.

    Employees On Leave Today 

    This can be configured to show the employees who are on leave for the current date via widgets according to the leave calendar configuration.

    Buzz

    You can set it up to show the buzz related posts as widgets on the dashboard screen.

    Time At Work

    The ‘Time At work” widget can also be set up to be shown in the dashboard.  With this useful feature, You can add punch in and out records directly From the widget itself by clicking this clock icon. It will show the duration of hours you have worked for today and also for the entire week. The following chart area provides a graphical representation of the punch in and out time for each day over the entire week.

    If you wish to arrange the widgets you can simply drag and drop to arrange the order of the widget as per your preference.
