Accurate and constructive performance feedback is the foundation of employee development. It is essential for evaluators to assess the appraisal form carefully and provide unbiased feedback alongside fair ratings.
Once this feedback is provided, employees gain a clear picture of their actual performance. This understanding empowers them to identify specific strengths to build upon and areas needing improvement. The result is a concrete plan to enhance their skills or take corrective actions, ultimately driving their performance to a higher level.
For example, when a supervisor creates a performance goal for an employee, the system immediately sends a notification to the employee that their appraisal has been initiated. This transparency keeps the process open and collaborative from the very start.
