How to Export Attendance Data

A company generally has difficulties relating to employee attendance. In most organizations, a certain set of employees do not report to work on a daily basis. As a result, a company fails to track the attendance records of such employees. However, attendance records are important in HR activities and decision-making processes therefore not having such information can make the HR process difficult.

OrangeHRM has the capability to facilitate this requirement via the ‘ Export to CSV- Attendance’ feature. This feature allows the admin/ESS-Supervisor to export the attendance data into a CSV file. By doing so, the supervisor and the HR department can decide what course of action they are going to take.

To access this feature go to Reports and Analytics → Attendance → Export to CSV. The ‘ Export to CSV’ screen is displayed as follows.

Step 2 – Fill the above filtering criteria necessary to generate the report.

Filter	Description
Employee	Based on the employee's name
Subunit	Timesheets of the selected department
Report type	The user has the option of choosing the report type as ‘Detailed’ or ‘Summary’ from the drop-down.
Employment status	Based on the employment status of the employee. (Full-Time Contract, Full-Time Permanent, Part-Time Contract, Freelance and etc. )These options are mentioned in the dropdown.
From/To	The user can specify the time period in which they want to generate the report for
Include Days Without Attendance Record	This includes all the attendance records with the days when an employee has failed to update the attendance records.

Any holiday leave taken during the time period is also reflected in the CSV file. Those records are shown in the report as "No attendance records to display" as shown below.
