Overview
A salary history report lists the salary records held for an employee, so you can see how their pay has been set over time. You build it as a custom report in Reports & Analytics by choosing the salary and compensation fields you want to display. Where your release exposes it, you can also include the Salary Event (the reason a salary was added or changed) so each entry shows why it was recorded.
Build the report
-
From the main menu, go to Reports & Analytics. (In some configurations the report builder is found under PIM > Reports.) You will see the list of existing reports.
-
Click + New Report to start a new report. The report builder opens.
-
Enter a Report Name, for example Salary History.
-
Under Selection Criteria, choose which employees the report should cover — for example an Job Category, Job Title or Sub Unit — then click the add (+) control to apply each criterion. Leave the criteria open to include all employees.
-
Under Display Field Group, select the group that contains compensation details, then add the individual salary component fields you want to show (such as Pay Grade, Salary Component, Amount, Currency and Pay Frequency).
-
If your report builder offers a Salary Event (reason for change) field, add it so each row shows why the salary was recorded.
-
Add a date field (such as the added or effective date) if one is available, so entries appear in date order.
-
Add the employee's Name or Employee Id so each row can be identified.
-
Click Save. The report is added to your reports list.

View, export or schedule the report
-
Open the report from the list and click View to run it. The matching employees and their salary details are displayed.
-
To download the results, use the export option on the report.
- To have the report sent out automatically on a schedule, follow How to Schedule Reports.
Note: The available display fields depend on your release and configuration. If you do not see a salary event or reason field in the report builder, use the Audit Trail to see when a salary value was added or changed, and by whom.
