Performance / Appraisal notifications
When an employee's appraisal is completed, email notifications are sent to the employee, the Main Evaluator, and the defined subscribers. The notification includes the employee's final rating, so recipients can see the outcome of the appraisal without opening it.

Final Rating in the Appraisal Completed Notification
The Appraisal Completed notification includes the employee's final rating. Employees and evaluators can see the outcome of the appraisal directly in the email, without having to open the appraisal in the system.
The final rating is inserted into the notification using the %AppraisalFinalRating% placeholder. If you customise the Appraisal Completed email template, include this placeholder wherever you want the rating to appear.
The value shown follows the Final Rating Type configured on the appraisal template:
- Automatic Calculation — the calculated rating value is shown.
- Manual Selection — the rating option chosen by the evaluator is shown.
- No Final Rating Displayed — no rating value is shown in the notification.
Note: Final rating visibility also depends on the Appraisal Final Rating Source configured for your system. Recipients who are not permitted to view the final rating will not see a rating value.

Note: When an appraisal is rejected and sent back to an earlier stage, the reviewer or manager for that stage can re-open, re-fill and resubmit their section.
