The performance module is already available from OrangeHRM as a separately licensed module. The following functionality is available to all clients who license this module.
Performance Management - Objectives and Key Results
Objectives and Key Results (OKR) is a popular leadership process for setting, communicating and monitoring goals and results in organizations on a regular schedule, usually quarterly. The intent of OKRs is to link organization, team, and personal objectives in a hierarchical way with 3 to 5 measurable results or outcomes, focusing all efforts to make measurable contributions.
As you achieve those results, the percentage of the entire Objective increases, so you can see the progress towards your aspirational goals. OKRs help you figure out what's most important (priority items) and how work at every level connects to your most important goals.
For each OKR, there is an objective to be achieved, along with a set of metrics that measure the achievement of that Objective, called Key Results.
In OrangeHRM, when adding a goal there's a choice (if configured) between adding a:
- Objective with Key Results (OKR)
By default, the system is configured to allow adding both Goals and Objectives with Key Results
Key Results can be assigned to different employees (subordinates) regardless of who owns the Objective. The value of the Key Results is updated by the ESS user that changes the metrics automatically. When it reaches 100%, the Key Result is considered Completed.
More information can be found in Objectives and Key Result Article.
Performance Appraisal - Ability to see a tentative rating before saving
The tentative review rating of an employee can now be seen in Multiple View. This helps you evaluate or validate the rating before you finalize the reviews.
As it is visible in the screenshot below, there seems to be a vast difference between the self and supervisor review rating. It is worth to check why the gap is there with the supervisor before taking the decision on the final rating.
Set Default Weightage for Goal and Competency
The system now enables default weightage to be assigned to goals and competencies in the Appraisal Section. A new option is introduced in Appraisal Configuration called “Sections” which gives a read-only view of the default weightage. This is a global configuration that affects all the appraisals in the system. Individual appraisal form can be then modified in the “Form Section” with your own weightage ratio.
More information can be found in Appraisal Configuration with Default Weightage Article.
Show the final rating for users who are authorized to see the rating
Visibility of Final Rating is now available in the Appraisal List and Multi-View depending on the access rights. The supervisor and Self would be able to see the Main Evaluators Final Rating if the read access to the main evaluators' review is granted for them. This configuration is available from the backend configuration.
More information can be found in Show final Rating Article.
