This happens when "Prorate First Accrual" is enabled for a leave type. Prorating calculates the entitlement based on the exact portion of the accrual period the employee has actually been active for, rather than always rounding to a full period — which can produce a fractional result like 4.98 or 4.90 days.

Note: OrangeHRM doesn't currently round prorated entitlements to a whole number. The fractional value is expected and correct given the "Prorate First Accrual" setting.
